Faculty of Medicine was established as the beginning of «Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences» as a branch of King Abdul Aziz University in Madinah in 1419 H, and after the decision of the Council for Higher Education to establish a good name of the University College to read "School of Medicine".
The study began in the first year in both male and female sections at the beginning of the academic year 1421/1422 H.
The plan of study depends entirely on preparatory program includes intensive English language as well as some other materials that help students in the course of university study generally and particularly the study of medicine, in particular, followed by a basic medical science education over the next two years, and then followed by a clinical study for three years later, in addition to the training year (the year of the concession) in a teaching hospitals, and has been cooperation between the College and the Directorate of Health Affairs in Al Madinah under the Convention on Cooperation between the Ministries of Health and Higher Education to train school students and the teaching of clinical hospital and health centers in Al Madinah.
