Taibah University Signs Agreement with British Columbia Okanagan University in Canada

Taibah University – Media Center (Bandar Abu Tarboush):
Taibah University signed an agreement with British Columbia Okanagan in Canada for the initiation of their collaboration in a number of areas. This agreement comes as a part of the university management attempt at developing various educational and academic areas. The agreement was signed by Vice Rector Dr. Abdul Aziz Q. Al Sarrani on behalf of Taibah University, and Vice President Professor Alaa Salem Abdul Aziz on behalf of British Columbia Okanagan University.
His Excellency Rector of Taibah University Dr. Mansour Mohamed Al Nuzha expressed his thanks and appreciation, on this occasion, to the government of His Royal Highness KingAbdullahbin Abdul Aziz for supporting universities in upgrading their research, academic and educational capabilities, and for the suitable environment provided for the promoting of a higher quality education benefitting our beloved country. H.E. pointed out the fact that the university has focused since its establishment on the academic and educational structure aiming by that at an outstanding academic outcome. H.E. also pointed out to the fact that this agreement reflected the university’s willingness to dedicate most of its support to scientific research for the value it has in abbreviating times and allowing for interaction with other universities having extensive experience in the area of research and academic development.
Dr. Nuzha also added that the signing of the agreement with British Columbia Okanagan University is part of a framework of scientific activities initiated by the university, as this agreement includes several academic collaboration projects, such as the promoting of joint research and studies projects, exchanging students and visiting lecturer from their respective academic faculty, benefiting from graduating studies programs and exchanging expertise in different academic areas.
As for British Columbia Okanagan University in Canada Vice President, Professor Alaa Abdul Aziz, he expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Taibah University, and stressed the fact that the signing of the partnership agreement between the two universities is aimed at developing both establishments through their mutual benefitting, inasmuch as Taibah University boasts professors specialized in disciplines such Engineering, Medicine, Chemistry and physiques, which motivated British Columbia Okanagan University to seek this partnership. He also expressed his pleasure for this visit which epitomizes the relationship between academic establishments around the world. He went further to express his delight at the academic development realized by Taibah University, and pointed out the fact that the agreement will allow the two universities fruitful exchanges of scientific research. He extended his thanks to H.E. University President Dr. Mansour Mohamed Al Nuzha for his warm welcome and hospitality.
Worthy of notice is the fact that Professor Alaa Abdul Aziz, British Columbia Okanagan University Vice President, delivered a number of lectures during his visit to Taibah University, including a specialized scientific lecture for the Department of Chemistry (Coordinator of the visit), and a general lecture discussing British Columbia Okanagan University’s experience in the field of academic research and development. The lecture was also viewed in the girls’ department through the closed TV circuit, and was appreciated by both students and members of the academic faculty.
