Taibah University has received accreditation from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) as a Certified Autism Center, after fulfilling all required accreditation standards. This achievement comes as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusion and empower individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The University President, Dr. Nawal Al-Rasheed, received the accreditation certificate from Dr. Adel Al-Oufi, Executive Director of the Madinah Autism Association (“Tamakkun”), as a continuation of the collaborative partnership within the “Autism-Friendly Madinah” initiative, which established Madinah as the first autism-friendly city in the Middle East and the fourth worldwide.

This accreditation represents a significant milestone, reflecting the University’s commitment to developing more inclusive learning environments and enhancing staff readiness through specialized training and qualification programs. It also contributes to improving the quality of services provided to individuals with autism, in alignment with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to empower people with special needs and enhance quality of life.
