The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Yanbu Governorate, under the supervision of faculty members and with the participation of students from the Nursing Department, participated in World Mental Health Day activities at Al-Dana Mall in Yanbu Industrial City, in collaboration with the Madinah Health Cluster, represented by Yanbu General Hospital, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts in community service and health awareness.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness about mental health and its fundamental concepts, and to highlight the importance of a supportive environment in improving quality of life and overall performance. It also sought to reduce the stigma associated with mental health and promote a culture of acceptance and community support, while providing participants with practical skills to cope with psychological stress and manage tension. The event additionally focused on developing positive communication skills, building healthy relationships within educational and professional settings, and promoting behaviors that support mental well-being at both individual and institutional levels.
This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to serving the community and supporting mental health, highlighting its educational and awareness mission and its role in fostering a healthier society.
