On the occasion of selecting Al Madinah Al Munawwarah as a capital of the Islamic culture, Taibah university contributes with a package of events including conferences, symposia, lectures, programs, a seminar in the English language and a forum for the elite of the Pilgrimage delegations to Al Madinah Al Munawwarah. His Excellency the Rector of Taibah university Dr. Adnan Bin Abdullah Al Mazrooa said that the events of Taibah university came in harmony with the occasion’s goals represented in confirming the upholding of the status of the Prophet(Peace be upon Him),sustaining Him, highlighting the cultural, historical, and social position of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah in its capacity as a capital of the Islamic culture, ensuring the symbolism of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah and translating it into an international Islamic culture, and highlighting the achievements of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the development and growth of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah ,sustaining the miscellaneous cultural activities, increasing the opportunities for creative and educated people to display their innovations in the framework of the Islamic entities, increasing the interest in the Islamic culture and highlighting its features for the intellectual studies, scientific researches, and educational methodologies, identifying the civilized monuments and cultural giving among the governmental institutions and national sectors, consolidating the dialogue among the culture and civilizations, and disseminating the Islamic values.
Dr. Al Mazrooa outlined that Taibah University will organize the conference of Women’s Rights in Islam, Geography, and the international contemporary changes. As well, it will present a documentary movie entitled (Al Madinah Al Munawwarah between Yesterday and Today) and a symposium in English language on Al Madinah Munawwarah.. a rising civilization and glorious history. Also, it will hold the forum of the Pilgrimage delegations elites coming to Al Madinah Al Munawwarah, Symposia of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah: Civilization and achievements, accompanying specialized Fair, Artistic Fair of the Artistic Education Department by the Male and Female Students of the University, and the symposium of Al Madinah Al Munawwarah in the Orientalists’ Eyes, and the Family and Child Fair on this occasion. Also, it will include several lectures including the lecture of cultural heritage, its importance, and methods of maintaining it. Aslo,the university will organize multiple events inside the university on this occasion to attain its goals as the university includes more than sixty thousands male and female students and about 150 scientific departments from the different faculties of the university.
