Taibah university organizes tomorrow Sunday 22 Rabeea Al Awwal for three days the preparatory meeting for its students participating in Fourth Scientific Conference for Higher Education Students.Taibah University Dean of student affairs Dr. Salih Al Harbi said that 519 students from Taibah University will be participating in the preparatory meeting which the university organizes for its students covering all conference pillars which include; humanitarian and social sciences pillar which contains all social and humanitarian sciences such as Sharia sciences and Islamic culture, Arabic language and literature, management and economic sciences and social sciences, basic sciences and engineering pillar which contains all pure sciences, engineering and computer sciences, biological technology, agriculture and all fields which belong to this category, Health sciences pillar which contain all areas of specialty which are related to human health and supporting health sector like various branches of medicine, pharmacology, applied medical sciences and nursing and all medical specialties which belong to the same category, and the activities accompanying the conference which include inventions and patents and business pioneering projects and documentary films and artistic competitions and social service and rhetoric.
Dr. Al Harbi added that to encourage and motivate the students participating in the preparatory meeting, the student affairs deanship allocated rewards for the winners as the winner of the first place in any of the three pillars of the conference will be awarded a sum of 10,000 SR, the second place winner will be awarded a sum of 7,000 SR, third place winner a sum of 5,000 SR, fourth place winner a sum of 3,000 SR and fifth place winner a sum of 1,000 SR.
Dr. Al harbi praised the percentage of university students participation in the conference; 92 students participated in basic sciences and engineering pillar, 123 students in humanitarian and social sciences pillar, 27 students in Health sciences pillar and 277 students participated in the pillar of events accompanying the conference.
It is noted that Fourth Scientific Conference for Higher Education Students is hosted by Mecca in the period between 19 – 22/6/1434 AH which aims at developing scientific research culture of higher education students in Saudi universities and to raise scientific and cultural level of Saudi universities students, and to display the scientific output and achievements of higher education students which will enrich student academic arena and develop the spirit of scientific competition among students and to give the students the opportunity to gain communication and conversational skills and leading skills and to build scientific and social communication bridges among students from different regions of the Kingdom.
