“Successful Dialogue” Lecture By the Dean of University Studies in Taibah UniversityThe Dean of University Studies in Taibah University Dr. Enas Bint Muhammad Taha gave, in the theater of the Faculty of Medicine in the females section, a lecture entitled “Successful Dialogue” in cooperation with King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue in the presence of the Vice-President of University Studies Deanship Dr. Fawzeyah Saad Al Sobhy and the manager of the branch of King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue in Al Madinah Al Munawwarah Dr. Sharifah Bin Mar’e Al Sharif, Vice-Presidents of Faculties, Faculty female Members, and affiliates of university.  
Dr. Sharifah Al Sharif set about by defining King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue directly sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques (May Allah Save Him) and clarified through her speech that the goals of Center, notably the dialogue and denunciation of intolerance, deepening  national unity, and contribution of society with all its segments in the purposeful dialogue in all fields. Also, she reviewed the Center’s activities  represented in national meetings, cultural discourses meetings, and meetings for discussing the problems of community, referring to the website of the Center to identify the activities of the Center and its tasks and receiving opinions and proposals. As well, the Center prints scientific researches free of charges and distribute them through the corners it holds.
Afterwards, the Dean of University Studies of female students Dr. Enas Taha who is a certified trainer from King Abdul Aziz Center for National Dialogue gave her lectures which she started by confirming the importance of purposeful dialogue among all as this is regarded as nationalism that all should contribute therein.
Then, she quoted the story of wind and sun affirming that strength and weakness can not solve problems, but matters are tackled by dialogue and wisdom.
Then, She deliberated over Dialogue’s terms and concepts beginning by debating which is the speech between two persons on a certain subject. Then, this is followed by controversy. It is a method of discussion relying on replacement and measurement, then followed by negotiating which is exchanging speech with the aim of reaching a compromise and agreement following this dialogue. It is a speech between two parties  or more with the aim of displaying and comprehending ideas, and finally conviction which is the seeking to accept the idea.
She digressed in her speech on the fundamentals of dialogue which is listening as it is regarded as the first step to receive the respect of others, clarifying that the difference between listening and hearing is that listening means deep concentration on what the speaker says while hearing means that the ear catches the speech intentionally or unintentionally.
She affirmed that listening forms 40% for people and effective listening is the one thing giving a result .Then, she clarified that out of the benefits of good listening are the learning of new matters, making sure of information, paying attention to the other party ,and building-up new liaisons with others. As well, using expressions and verbal effects is a significant means to communicate the information.
She concluded her lectures by talking about the ethics and attributes of successful interlocutor which are being beware of several matters including raising voice and reflection of mood on the tone of voice during the dialogue, using obligation expressions, eating and drinking during dialogue, accusing the interlocutor’ s intention and impeaching his intent, and chatting with another person during the dialogue with another one.
At the conclusion of the meeting, questions and discussions revolved around the subject of meeting.
