She Registered an Application to Get a Patent
A Female Student at Taibah University Wins the First Position at Dubai International Conference for PharmacyThe female student at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Taibah University Asmaa Sabri Al Harby won the international prize and first position of the students’ posters by her contribution with an invention of wounds healing device at Dubai International Pharmaceuticals And Technologies Conference And Exhibition (DUPHAT 2013) which witnessed high level international, regional, and local contributions and in which professors, specialists, and professionals participated from various countries around the world including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Japan, Belgium, France, Sweden, Australia, India and other countries.
On his side, the Educational Services Dean at Taibah University Dr.Waleed Bin Beleihash Al Omary clarified that registering the female student’s idea and getting a patent application number from King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology during her study at the preparatory year and the female student has been supported by the Educational Services Deanship which in turn provided the opportunity for the female student to highlight and develop her creative abilities and skills through the initiative of the Invention Club at the Deanship. The female student continued keeping in touch with her supervisor at the Invention Club at the preparatory year Mrs. Samar Abdeen during her advancement in the academic study as she is now at the third year at the Faculty of Pharmacy. Throughout our sponsorship of the female student, she was nominated for the conference and her supervisor at the preparatory year was nominated to travel with her where she was supervised in developing and refining the invention till she won the first position thanks to Allah Almighty, then thanks to the sponsorship and sustenance of His Excellency the Rector of Taibah University Dr.Adnan Bin Abdullah Al Mazrooa.
As well, Dr. Al Omary outlined that the idea of the invention is unique and to be presented for the first time in the world and said that in case of applying the invention, it will be nominated to win several international prizes. Aslo,the attainment is to be added to Taibah University's record of achievements, adding that nearly nine contribution of the male and female students of the preparatory year at Taibah University were submitted to King Abdul Aziz City for Science and Technology this year.
