Taibah University represented in Education Technologies Department held the ninth annual technology festival of the female students’ production 1434 A. H. entitled “ We Perfect.. Then, We Progress”, and inauguration of its accompanying fair at the Faculty of Medicine’ s theatre at the female students section.
The festival included a speech delivered by the Head of the Education Technologies Department Dr. Talal Kabli in which he stated that the Education Technologies Department, under the increasing information revolution which has become forming a significant factor in the success of any scientific or educational march, is regarded as one of the departments assuming and bearing huge responsibility in supporting and sustaining all specialties at the level of the Faculty of Education and the University’s Faculties. If the currently witnessed technical development affects the outputs of educational institutions, then the Education Technologies specialty is the available means creating this effect. The technology festival is the larger means to highlight these outputs, and the continuity of holding this festival annually contributes in the success of the University’s educational process.
It was followed by a speech of the Vice – Rector of the Faculty of Education Dr. Aisha Al Ahmadi in which she outlined that the goals of Faculty of Education are preparing the teacher educationally, academically, and professionally, and the courses of education technologies contribute in attaining these goals through training the female students teachers to produce different means, old and modern education technologies and electronic education technologies to be capable of applying and developing them in the work future successfully and effectively. From this point, the idea of the festival has been launched to render a complete conception of the female students’ production in the field of educational means and technologies and electronic education through a complete academic year and what it contains of serious works, creative notions, and distinct efforts that all can be familiar with and take advantage thereof, depicting the festival as an actual employment of educational technologies and electronic education.
Dr. Al Ahmadi added that the events of the festival revolve around this idea where each one of the education means and technologies types will be provided with a related corner in addition to the corner of Al Madinah: Capital of Islamic Culture 2013 A.D., Janadria corner, and workshops corners where some female students implement some educational means before the attendees.
Then, the Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Muhammad Bin Shahat Al Khatib delivered a speech through which he outlined that production is deemed as an integral part of the education process where education and learning do not stop at the limit of education, awareness, information, and acquiring skills, and attitudes only, but productivity must be available and which means the possibility of applying the theory in real life.
He added: In fact, one of the greatest problems of education today is that large number of male and female students lack practical application of what they have studied, and said: the approach assumed by the Education Technologies Department at the Faculty of Education aiming at training male and female students to producing educational means is an expression of a proactive and advanced vision. As well, this type of training is directly associated with the electronic education application and provides a good proof that the Education Technologies Department takes advanced steps and that the students of the Department attempt to prove their existence and leave an effect ensuring their skills, knowledge, and experiences they acquired through their university study at the Faculty of Education and other academic courses at Taibah University. The Department’s festival is a realization of these exerted efforts by the University’s administration to promote the education process and upgrade the level of administrative, technical, and academic performance and quality therein, and this achievement is only a series in other bestowals, wide aspirations, and pinned determinations for more creativity and attainment.
The festival included a number of items including the march of public education development in the Kingdom, and caricature presentation of the technologies drawbacks in our in our family and social reality, competitions, games. Also, the new updates in theses and dissertations of education technologies. As well, it included honoring distinctive female students of the M.A., Diploma, and Bachelor stages.
