1. Overseeing the operations of the University Council Secretariat and working to improve its performance, including the use of modern technology in its work.
2. Securing the needs of the Council Secretariat within available resources.
3. Receiving topics to be presented to the Council and ensuring their completeness and compliance with regulations and bylaws.
4. Reviewing memoranda for presentation to the Council on these topics according to the nature of each topic, and presenting them during the session.
5. Preparing and organizing University Council meetings, including coordinating with relevant parties regarding suitable dates.
6. Preparing the agenda for the sessions, including the topics to be presented to the Council.
7. Sending invitations to Council members and informing relevant parties of the meeting date.
8. Preparing meeting minutes and obtaining members' signatures before submitting them to His Excellency the Minister of Education (Chairman of the Council) for approval.
9. Communicating the Council's decisions after their approval.
10. Maintaining and electronically archiving the Council's minutes, topics, and files.
11. Preparing performance evaluations for the staff of the University Council Secretariat. 12. Communicating with the Secretariat of the Council of University Affairs and its counterparts, the secretaries of university councils, on all matters falling within the Secretariat's purview.
13. Evaluating the Council's performance periodically and conducting benchmarking for continuous improvement.
14. Preparing a report on the Council's Secretariat at the end of each academic year, in accordance with applicable regulations.
15. Submitting the financial entitlements of Council members
