The course is to provide an understanding of the basic safety laboratories. The course covers general information on responsibility for accident prevention including the use of personal protection equipment and following laboratory protocol. The course also covers guidelines on chemical hazards including toxic, flammable, reactive and carcinogens and material safety data sheets. It gives an overview of some recommended laboratory techniques.
