The University Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs, through its various sectors, contributes to driving the wheel of development and advancement at Taibah University to ensure the smooth progress of the educational process, enhance the quality of education, and improve academic outcomes. It is considered one of the key pillars supporting the university in achieving its goals and fulfilling its core mission—education.
The Vice Presidency is committed to carrying out its duties in a professional, institutional manner that promotes a culture of teamwork and encourages innovation, development, creativity, and initiative. With the valued support of the colleges and all affiliated sectors—including supportive deanships, departments, centers, and units—the Vice Presidency has focused on meeting the requirements and standards of academic accreditation related to teaching and learning. These standards have become the guiding framework for all its activities and a reference for its practices with all permanent and temporary committees, colleges, and affiliated entities.
Among the Vice Presidency’s top priorities is the Targeted Plan Project, which aims to create a vibrant university life that supports the university’s vision, mission, and strategic objectives. This is achieved by focusing on key targets that enhance academic performance, ensure sustainable development, achieve excellence in teaching and learning, support the digital transformation of academic services, and improve the quality of student services and activities, as well as graduates’ readiness for the labor market.
The Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs directly oversees all university colleges in Madinah and its branches, along with all affiliated sectors, including supportive deanships, departments, centers, active offices and units, and various permanent and temporary committees that contribute significantly to realizing the university’s strategic goals.
In line with the university’s aspirations, the Vice Presidency for Academic Affairs has developed and launched a set of initiatives and projects as part of its operational plan. These initiatives align with the university’s strategic directions and are linked to performance indicators for effective measurement. Their success depends on the collaboration of the university’s colleges, all sectors of the Vice Presidency, and its permanent and temporary committees. The key focus areas include:
Developing academic programs aligned with local labor market needs
Enhancing the educational environment
Supporting and advancing student and graduate skills
Strengthening and developing faculty capabilities
