This course will introduce the senior dental student to the basic principles of health research, its importance on the advancement of their profession, and its influence on the community’s wellbeing and policymakers’ decisions. It will walk the student step-by-step through planning, designing and obtaining necessary approval(s) for a full-scale research project, while being trained to address crucial ethical aspects. Students will also be familiar with means of documentation and public reporting of study findings following exposure to appropriate statistical data management and interpretation methods
