This course builds on what students have learned in the previous Reading Strategies course. The main aim of Extended Reading Strategies is to prepare students for academic success. This is achieved by an enhanced focus on reading skills and strategies, vocabulary building, test taking and critical thinking skills. Throughout the course, students are encouraged to maintain self-assessment logs to evaluate their own learning.
