The university explained that it is working to provide an integrated support system that contributes to improving the quality of services offered to students with disabilities through academic, linguistic, and digital services aimed at facilitating access to educational programs and enabling their active participation in university life, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to empower individuals and enhance quality of life.
The system includes orientation services, academic support, translation services, specialized activities and programs, digital content enhancement, as well as the development of infrastructure, pathways, and entrances, the integration of assistive smart systems, and the expansion of training and awareness programs. These services benefit more than 1,047 beneficiaries from various disability categories.
The university affirmed that these efforts are part of its strategy to build a more inclusive educational environment that accommodates everyone and supports the rights of persons with disabilities to equitable access to education and opportunities for growth and advancement.
It is worth noting that the International Day of Persons with Disabilities is an annual occasion designated by the United Nations on December 3, aiming to raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities and the role of inclusive communities in empowering them and contributing to their progress
