His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, sponsored the opening ceremony of the Fifth Generation of Education Conference, organized by Taibah University in partnership with the Madinah Education Department, the Taibah Educational Association, and the Saudi Association for Educational and Psychological Sciences.
During his visit to the accompanying exhibition, His Highness Prince Salman toured the participating booths, including those from graduate students of the College of Education at Taibah University. The students presented specialized scientific research, innovative theses, as well as educational and training innovations aimed at addressing challenges and seizing opportunities to develop the educational field.
A number of teachers from different schools in the region also showcased pioneering models of their experiences in integrating technology into classrooms. They presented creative practices that contribute to enhancing the quality of education and creating innovative learning environments, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 to build a flexible and integrated educational system.
The exhibition aims to strengthen the integration between the educational field and academic research by exchanging expertise and knowledge, empowering educational staff and students to present their innovations and initiatives, and linking scientific research with real-world practices in the educational environment.
During the ceremony, the attendees watched a visual presentation introducing the conference. Then, Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Dean of the College of Education at Taibah University, delivered a speech on behalf of the conference's partners. He emphasized that the conference serves as a leading scientific platform that brings together academic minds and expertise to present the latest studies and research, as well as to highlight the field experiences of teachers and organize workshops focused on employing digital technologies in the development of the educational and research process.
Dr. Al-Mutairi explained that the conference hosts a distinguished group of specialists to discuss the challenges of technology, its ethical dimensions, and propose practical solutions to minimize its impacts. The conference also focuses on promoting human leadership in the era of artificial intelligence, supporting development paths, and enhancing the quality of educational services.
He further pointed out that the organization of the conference was a collaboration between Taibah University, the General Directorate of Education in Madinah, the Taibah Educational Association, and the Saudi Association for Educational and Psychological Sciences – Madinah Branch, with strategic sponsorship from the Salem bin Mahfouz Charitable Foundation. He noted that these partnerships reflect the importance that Saudi Vision 2030 places on integration between the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Dr. Al-Mutairi concluded his speech by expressing gratitude to the wise leadership of the Kingdom for their attention to education. He also extended his heartfelt appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz for his patronage and honor of the conference, wishing success and prosperity for the conference’s efforts to build a more flexible and innovative educational system that meets the nation's aspirations.
At the end of the ceremony, His Highness Prince Salman honored the participants and sponsors of the conference.
