Overview

In compliance with Royal Decree No. 59766 dated 20/11/1439 H, which mandated the establishment of data offices in government entities, and in reference to the circular of the Minister of Education dated 07/06/1442 H regarding the establishment of data management offices,

The University, in compliance with the aforementioned, issued a decision numbered 607/Q dated 26/8/1442 H to establish a Data Management Office at the University. The office is responsible for developing policies, standards, and compliance mechanisms for data, as well as supporting all its sectors in managing their data efficiently, effectively, and with high quality.

Responsibilities

Managing the university's data office in accordance with the strategy, regulations, and policies adopted by the National Data Management Office, and aligning them with the university's organizational documents.
Ensuring strategic alignment, setting priorities, preparing the budget, and implementing initiatives.
Overseeing data management activities and the protection of personal data, and their implementation at the university.
Coordinating and communicating with the National Data Management Office and the university's data management office.
Overseeing the monitoring of university sectors' compliance with the systems, policies, and standards adopted by the National Data Management Office, including compliance with data management scopes.
Monitoring investigations into violations related to the protection of personal data and notifying the National Data Management Office in accordance with the approved escalation mechanism.
Reviewing key performance indicators for data management and the protection of personal data, and preparing periodic reports.
