The Applied Colleges Project is a national strategic initiative launched by the Ministry of Education. It is one of the ambitious initiatives under the Human Capability Development Program, which forms part of the Saudi Vision 2030 realization programs. This project aims to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi citizens both locally and globally by reinforcing values, expanding knowledge, and developing fundamental as well as future skills across various vital sectors.
The college consists of a main campus in Madinah, in addition to six other branches located in strategic areas across the governorates of the Madinah region. This structure grants each branch a competitive advantage, along with developmental opportunities and specialized programs aligned with the needs of the local labor market and regional development priorities.
The college aims to offer and develop flexible programs that align with current and future labor market demands—both regionally and nationally—in terms of supply and demand. It also seeks to build partnerships with the public, private, and non-profit sectors in order to activate the role of the Applied College in community development and in meeting societal needs. Furthermore, it strives to enhance the skills and capabilities of participants in its programs and training courses, with particular focus on regional requirements, while contributing to increased professional participation in the private sector, raising the professional competence of national talent, supporting localization initiatives across all fields, and helping narrow the professional and skills gap.
