The University formed the Institutional Sustainability Working Group to support the Unit in implementing its plans and programs, to promote and disseminate sustainability concepts across the University, and to reinforce sustainable practices in various domains.
The Working Group comprises faculty members, administrative leaders, representatives of related units, and experts in environmental, social responsibility, and economic fields, ensuring the integration of perspectives and disciplines. This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to transforming into a sustainable institutional model that contributes to achieving the goals of Vision 2030 and strengthening its local and global position in sustainability.
Institutional Integration: Collecting data and information from all relevant sectors.
Unified Methodology: Designing a unified framework that ensures coverage of the three dimensions of sustainability (economic, environmental, and social).
Enhanced Efficiency: Distributing tasks and responsibilities to ensure timely preparation of policies and standards.
Showcasing Institutional Excellence: Documenting the University’s achievements in various fields through the Sustainability Report, thereby reinforcing its leadership role.
Developing standards and policies that support the University’s strategic goals and the SDGs, while aligning them with international ranking requirements.
Reviewing policies with relevant University sectors, incorporating suggestions, securing formal approval, and circulating them.
Establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress in achieving environmental, economic, and social sustainability objectives.
Designing templates and forms to collect quantitative and qualitative data on sustainability from all University sectors.
Collecting and analyzing data to prepare a comprehensive report presenting achievements, challenges, and future development plans.
Using report findings to update policies and standards, ensuring sustainable operations and continuous improvement.
Engaging additional experts or stakeholders as deemed necessary to complete tasks.
