His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Madinah Region, inaugurated the first Employment Forum and Career Exhibition organized by Taibah University.
His Highness opened the accompanying exhibition, toured its various sections, and listened to explanations about the job opportunities offered by the participating organizations.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Hossam Al-Mughtham, Executive Vice President of Human Capital at Elm Company, delivered a speech emphasizing that investing in human capital is the cornerstone of achieving sustainable development and building the nation's future. He noted that Madinah continues its historical role in knowledge creation and human development, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
During his speech at the forum and career fair, he explained that Saudi youth are the nation's true wealth, quoting His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – who said: “Our greatest asset, one that no other wealth can equal, is an ambitious people, the majority of whom are young.” He affirmed that Elm Company witnesses daily inspiring examples of young men and women who have transitioned from their studies to positions of leadership and achievement.
Al-Mughtham pointed out that empowering national talent is not limited to providing job opportunities, but extends to building capabilities and developing competencies capable of leading the future. He cited several exemplary initiatives in the region, including the Madinah Technical Secondary School for Gifted Students, which hosts more than 120 male and female students in an advanced educational environment and focuses on preparing a generation specializing in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and computer science.
He praised the support and attention Madinah receives from the wise leadership and the developmental projects and quality investments in human capital it is witnessing. He emphasized that the nation continues to provide opportunities for its youth and empower them to transform their aspirations into achievements that contribute to building the Kingdom's future and prosperity.
For his part, Suhail Al-Tayyar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nitaq Business Company for Organizing Exhibitions and Conferences, delivered a speech in which he affirmed that the Career Forum and Exhibition, held under the patronage of His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah Region, embodies the commitment to developing national capabilities and empowering the region's young men and women with promising career opportunities. He explained that the partnership with Taibah University represents an effective model for integration between academic institutions and the business sector, contributing to aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs. He noted that the forum provided more than a thousand job, training, and qualification opportunities for the region's young men and women, with support from participating government and private entities, in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals for human capital development.
Al-Tayyar expressed his appreciation for the support and cooperation of all partners and participating entities, praising Taibah University's role in the forum's success. He emphasized that the presence of the region's governor at the event served as an incentive to continue launching impactful initiatives that contribute to developing national talent and enhancing its readiness for the future.
During the ceremony, attendees viewed a presentation highlighting the importance of empowering national talent and enhancing the readiness of graduates, as well as the university's role in creating a platform that connects aspirations with opportunities and opens new horizons for young people, keeping pace with rapid transformations and labor market demands. Following this, Dr. Nawal Al-Rashid, President of Taibah University, delivered a speech in which she emphasized that the forum stems from the university's commitment to aligning educational outcomes with labor market needs and empowering students and graduates to access employment and professional opportunities.
She added that the forum represents an integrated platform that brings together national talent with employers, providing opportunities for professional development through training sessions and workshops. She emphasized that investing in human capital is a fundamental pillar for achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
On another note, His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah witnessed the signing of several strategic agreements with various entities, including King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Al-Ansar Sports Club, the University Student Clubs Association, Nestlé Saudi Arabia, the General Directorate of Technical and Vocational Training, and Ru'a Al Madinah Holding Company. These agreements aim to enhance employment opportunities, align training outcomes with labor market demands, and improve the readiness of national talent to contribute to economic development and the realization of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives. At the conclusion of the event, His Royal Highness the Prince of Madinah honored the strategic partners and sponsors of the forum, which continues until Thursday evening.
