Introduction

Information security incident reporting is one of the university’s most important lines of defense. We seek to provide a user-friendly page that supports faster handling by the technical team through clearly explaining the main types of information security reports and the details required when submitting a report. This helps improve response time and enables the incident response team to take prompt action.

Report Categories

To reduce incorrect or irrelevant submissions, it is important to clearly define what should be reported. Reports may generally be classified as follows:

  • Phishing Emails: Suspicious email messages requesting confidential information or containing untrusted links.
  • Malware: Unusual signs such as encrypted files, abnormal pop-up windows, or suspicious system behavior.
  • Data Breach: Sending sensitive information to the wrong recipient or discovering unauthorized access to data.
  • Social Engineering: Attempts by unknown individuals to impersonate the university or one of its online pages in order to obtain information.
