Dr. Nawal bint Mohammed Al-Rashed, the president of Taibah University, kicked off the World Mental Health Day events and the accompanying exhibition today. This included awareness sessions for students and university staff, focusing on listening skills, psychological support, and turning personal experiences into stories that help others.
The exhibition features educational booths and awareness initiatives, offers specialized psychological and social consultations, and holds meetings aimed at students and staff. These sessions discuss the culture of silence and stigma around mental health, effective listening skills at work, promoting open conversations, handling psychological challenges, and encouraging both seeking and offering support.
The events aim to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, spread a culture of open dialogue and active listening, and build a mindset of support and care within the university community.
