Taibah University in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah has announced the launch of a Cybersecurity Bootcamp as part of its training programs directed at faculty members in Saudi universities and their equivalents. The bootcamp features practical content focusing on cybersecurity concepts and digital identity protection and will be held remotely from February 1 to 4, 2026.
The bootcamp aims to enhance awareness of cyber risks and raise faculty members’ readiness to address digital threats through specialized training programs that contribute to building technical capabilities and promoting safe practices in cyberspace.
The bootcamp includes four specialized training programs. The first program, titled “Phishing and Social Engineering,” explores the concept of phishing, the motives behind cyberattacks, the main communication channels used by attackers, and common phishing techniques and tactics. It will be held on Sunday at 8:30 PM.
The second program, “Smartphone Security,” addresses cyber threats targeting smartphones, methods of compromise and their impact, best practices for using mobile applications, and activating built-in security features. It will be held on Monday at 8:30 PM.
The third program, “Your Accounts… Your Identity in Cyberspace,” highlights the importance of protecting digital accounts, password security, and two-factor authentication. It will be held on Tuesday at 8:30 PM.
The bootcamp concludes with the fourth program, “Password Attacks and Prevention Methods,” which discusses the importance of password security, common types of password attacks, frequent user mistakes, and preventive measures. This session will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 PM.
