Taibah University in Madinah has announced the opening of admissions for its preparatory year program for deaf and hard-of-hearing students. The program aims to prepare high school graduates linguistically and academically for university studies, enhancing their readiness to learn and integrate into a supportive educational environment.

The university explained that applications are being accepted through the "Qubool" platform. Admission requirements include a high school diploma with a minimum grade of 80% for graduates of Al-Amal Institutes and inclusion programs, and 70% for graduates of mainstream schools. Applicants must also pass an entrance exam specifically designed for deaf and hard-of-hearing students and a personal interview.

The university stated that selection among applicants will be based on criteria including the cumulative high school GPA and the preparatory year entrance exam score. This will ensure that the most prepared candidates are selected to benefit from the program and achieve its educational and rehabilitative goals.

The university emphasized that the program is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance access to university education and empower deaf and hard-of-hearing students to pursue their academic journey in an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
