Two teams from Taibah University in Madinah qualified yesterday for the preliminary rounds of the "Sitathon" award, part of the National Program for Enhancing Community Initiatives, one of the initiatives of the Princess Seetah bint Abdulaziz Award for Excellence in Social Work. The teams qualified with their "Our Neighborhood" and "Inspiration" initiatives.

The "Sitathon" program is a national, participatory volunteer program that aims to improve the outcomes of community initiatives and enhance their impact and sustainability. It achieves this by cultivating social responsibility and positive values among young people, and empowering them to develop innovative initiatives that contribute to community service and promote sustainable development.

The qualification of the university teams reflects Taibah University's commitment to supporting national initiatives and fostering a culture of community work and social innovation. This is accomplished by motivating human resources to present projects with developmental impact and by developing their leadership and creative abilities as active partners in social and volunteer work. This comes as an extension of the university’s efforts to enable talents to participate in national programs and quality competitions, which contributes to preparing talents capable of creating community initiatives and leading volunteer work, in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in promoting social responsibility and developing the non-profit sector.
