Study of the Earth, its origins, internal composition, internal and surface geological processes, and their impact on the formation of the Earth's surface, its structures, and the movement of its plates. Understand the components of the Earth, including the various minerals and rocks it contains, and discover natural resources such as economic minerals, petroleum, natural gas, and others. Familiarity with the applications of geology in various fields, such as engineering, geotechnical, and environmental aspects, and study natural disasters related to geology, such as landslides, earthquakes, and volcanoes, and identify the possibilities of predicting them and mitigating their risks.
