What are the departments of the College of Science?

The college comprises five departments: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology, and Geology.

What undergraduate programs does the college offer?

The College of Science offers a variety of academic programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels through its various scientific departments, with the aim of preparing scientifically and research-qualified graduates who meet labor market needs and contribute to supporting scientific research and national development.

The academic programs offered by the college include the following:

  • Department of Biology

Offers a Bachelor’s program, a Complementary Studies Program, in addition to a Master’s program.

  • Department of Mathematics

Offers a Bachelor’s program and a Master’s program in Mathematics.

  • Department of Chemistry

Offers a Bachelor’s program and a Master’s program in Chemistry across its various scientific branches.

  • Department of Physics

Offers a Bachelor’s program and a Master’s program in Physics.

  • Department of Geology

Offers a Bachelor’s program in Geology.

Through these programs, the college is committed to providing a distinguished educational and research environment that contributes to developing students’ scientific and practical skills, while enhancing their research and intellectual capabilities in alignment with development requirements and Saudi Vision 2030.

What is the college's mission?

The College of Science is committed to attracting the best students and an elite group of distinguished faculty members and researchers, providing them with a stimulating educational and research environment for learning, self-development, and creativity. The college is also witnessing steady growth in academic and scientific fields, continuous development of curricula, and an advancement in the level of scientific research within a conscious scientific perspective. This research is supported by faculty members, and its foundations and principles are established among college students.

What is the college's future vision?

The college's vision is to achieve leadership among university colleges, keeping pace with global developments. Its various departments offer distinguished, high-quality programs.
 

What services does the college provide to the community?

Preparing distinguished and creative graduates in their fields of specialization, whose outputs meet the needs of the labor market, and providing them with highly skilled personnel. This serves to further its established mission of preparing outstanding graduates who will contribute positively and effectively to the advancement of their university and their country. The college also seeks to build distinguished community partnerships, strive for quality, and achieve academic accreditation.
 

Does the college offer graduate programs?

Yes, it does in all its departments, except for the Geology Department, which it seeks to develop to include a graduate program.
 

How can I apply to the college's programs?

Through the electronic admissions portal at Taibah University.
 

Are there student clubs or activities available to students?

The College of Science has several committees, including a Cultural Committee, a Religious Committee, and a Social Committee to organize activities.

The College of Science's female section has allocated the "FA18" event hall for events and a gymnasium. There is also a lounge area for female students and a science library. The Science Club is also located under the supervision of the Deanship of Student Affairs and includes the participation of female students from all departments.

In the male section, a lounge area has been created for students, in cooperation with the male students, and they have been involved in creating green spaces within the college. There is also a science library for students, in addition to a chemistry club.

The College of Science cares for its male and female students, providing them with the opportunity to engage in activities that align with their interests and talents. It also provides them with the opportunity to benefit from the courses offered in their future lives and to face the job market.

Among these courses and activities are:

Courses are offered to prepare male and female students for the job market.

A visit was organized for eighth-grade students to King Abdullah University.

Students also undertook field visits to sites in Medina.

Students were also involved in numerous activities and events representing the college.
