A coordination meeting was held between the leadership and staff of the College of Engineering in Yanbu and representatives of the Yanbu Branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. The meeting was conducted within the framework of strengthening partnership and integrated cooperation between the academic and government sectors in serving the community and protecting the environment.
During the meeting, both parties discussed areas of mutual cooperation and reviewed the arrangements and preparations for organizing activities and events for World Environment Day. These efforts aim to enhance environmental awareness, promote sustainable practices, and support national initiatives focused on the conservation and development of natural resources.
The two sides also explored opportunities to implement joint field initiatives and awareness workshops involving the college’s students and faculty members. In addition, they discussed leveraging the college’s engineering and academic expertise and capabilities to support the Ministry’s efforts within the governorate and contribute to achieving the environmental sustainability goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous coordination and unifying efforts to ensure the successful delivery of upcoming environmental events in a manner that serves the governorate and its community
