The College of Applied Medical Sciences in Yanbu Governorate, under the supervision of faculty members and with the participation of students from the Clinical Nutrition Department, participated in World Food Day activities at the Yanbu Historical District, as part of the college’s ongoing efforts in community service and promoting health awareness.
The initiative aimed to increase nutritional awareness among the target audience regarding the principles of healthy eating and the importance of a balanced diet, and to improve knowledge of healthy dietary habits and their role in preventing chronic diseases related to poor nutrition. It also sought to promote positive dietary behaviors and encourage the adoption of healthy and sustainable lifestyles, in addition to correcting common nutritional misconceptions within the community.
This initiative reflects the college’s commitment to community service and enhancing health and nutritional awareness, highlighting its educational and awareness mission and its role in fostering a healthier society.
