Under the auspices of His Excellency the Rector of Taibah University Dr. Adnan Bin Abdullah Al Mazrooa and in the framework of the University quest to encourage and develop international cooperation in all scientific, academic, and research fields, and deepening research cooperation in the operation and maintenance field, the University signed with the Arab Institute for Operation and Maintenance an understanding memorandum in which it is represented by the Chair of the Instructor Muhammad Bin Laden for Operation and Maintenance Technology. The understanding memorandum signed by the supervisor of the Chair of the Instructor Muhammad Bin Laden for the Operation and Maintenance Technologies Dr. Waseem Bin Asad Orfely and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Institute for Operation and Maintenance of Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Fozan aims at strengthening cooperation in the research program conducted by the Instructor Mohammed bin Laden Chair for the Operation and Maintenance Technologies to develop and provide the key knowledge to organize and measure the performance methods and evaluating them in the operation and maintenance field in the Kingdom. This program aims at training and qualifying the youth competencies ,contacting and cooperating with the scientific authorities and commissions and the commission specialized in this domain. The Chair seeks to take advantage of the services provided by the institute of training, rehabilitating, and providing scientific and professional consultation in the field of operation and maintenance, and the experiences it owns by organizing and unifying the efforts exerted to ameliorate the maintenance practices in the Arab countries and upgrading this engineering sector at the highest levels and in coordination with the scientific authorities and commissions related to modern measurements, standards, and technologies.
The supervisor of the Instructor Muhammad Bin Laden Chair of Operation and Maintenance Chair in Taibah University Dr. Waseem Bin Asad Orfely clarified that through the signed understanding memorandum, the relation between the two parties will be strengthened. As well, the Chair will provide technical consultations in the operation and maintenance field to the Arab Institute of Operation and Maintenance serving the local and international industrial authorities operating therewith .Also, the two parties will attract research projects funded by diverse authorities included in under its research interests.
It is worth mentioning that the University seeks, through the scientific Chairs programs, to attain national and strategic goals, notably investing the financial resources of financers of donations, contributions, and endowments in sustaining research projects needed by the Kingdom to realize the national development and tackling the issues of all the community’s health, economic, technical, social sectors and others, and the contribution in assuming a distinct international status by the University in innovation, creativity, research, and development for supporting the national economy and activating the University’s role to take part in transforming the Kingdom into knowledge society to attain the sustainable development and strengthening the University partnership with the community sectors Like the world's most prestigious universities and attract the elite of distinguished scientists and researchers from the world's most prestigious universities of the developed countries in the growth and development and the development of a generation of outstanding Saudi researchers through the participation of researchers and higher studies students, and assistant researchers in conducting scientific researches, transferring and developing modern technology and the ideal investment of the University’s human and equipping resources for the service of the Saudi Community.
