1. Recognize the importance of ethical decision-making in clinical practice.
2. Describe ethical theory, ethical decision-making models, and professional ethical
standards. Discuss ethical and legal issues important to nurse in a variety of health
care delivery settings.
3. Describe the scope of nursing practice.
4. Identify code of ethics.
5. Analyze case study application for euthanasia, vulnerable populations, and informed
consent.
6. Identify barriers to ethical practice.
