The course is to provide an understanding of the basic safety laboratories. The course covers general information on responsibility for accident prevention including the use of personal protection equipment and following laboratory protocol. The course also covers guidelines to chemical hazards including toxic, flammable, reactive and carcinogens as well as material safety data sheets. It gives an overview on some recommended laboratory techniques.
