وصف المقرر
This course provides the students with the principles of chemical reaction engineering, such as conversion, selectivity, reaction rate and order, rate constant and kinetics of homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions. It covers mole balances, conversion and reactor sizing, the rate laws, stoichiometric table, and expressing concentrations in terms other than conversion. Moreover, this course describes the isothermal reactor design (batch, CSTR, and Plug flow reactors) and the collection and analysis of rate data. It also deals with multiple reactions. The experimental part of this course introduces the batch reactor, CSTR and tubular reactors. It also illustrates the dynamics of stirred tanks in series as well as residence time distribution, and PFR.
