The course is designed to provide a general overview of the basic elements of general physics that would be required to understand the principals of radiation physics are reviewed. The course introduces students to the theory of x-ray production and its utilization in diagnostic radiography. It consists of a review of the various forms of energy; the study of x-ray production and the interaction of x-rays with matter. Methods of radiation measurement and units are introduced to students. A simple x-ray circuit and the various types of rectification are described
