This course explores the legal frameworks, current methodologies, and issues of best practice in the risk minimization and management of workplace (chemical industries) hazards. This course focuses on the prevention and mitigation of catastrophic releases of hazardous materials that may lead to fires, explosions, or toxic impacts on the environment and human health. It covers topics on hazardous properties of materials, including SDS, industrial hygiene, process safety, risk assessment, and hazard analysis, overpressure and under pressure protection.
