This ENGL101 course is a skiii_based course that focuses on developing the general and academic language skills of the English language students. The course is a pre_requisite for the ENGL102 course. lt develops students languge skills and competencies by exposing them to a variety of general and academic contexts at the beginner and elementary language levels.In addition the course builds the students abilities in the language Knowiedge area by poviding them with awide range of vocabulary and grammaticatical structures. Moreover the course devlops the learners cognitive skills such as analyzing criticizing synthesizing and evaluating which are needed by the students et the uniersity stage.
