This course makes the student aware of the importance of syntax and how it is implemented with its logical rules. Students would develop their linguistic competence, speak about the norms that govern the English language, and use the basic structural patterns in both speech and writing. Students will recognize parts of speech, the different tenses of the English verbs, and the use of active and passive voice in English.
