This course includes the necessary knowledge and extensive coverage of upper limbs amputations Topics to be covered will include levels of amputation, causes of amputation, contemporary rehabilitation methods and componentry the world has reached to rehabilitate those amputees taking into account the patient's social, professional, and cosmetic needs. Special emphasis will be put on the training of the students on the design and manufacture of upper limb prostheses for trans-radial and trans-humeral amputation and its different types such as mechanical, myoelectric and cosmetic prostheses.
