This course covers diseases, injuries, and deformities of the vertebral column, spinal cord, and upper limbs. The student will learn how to integrate knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, pathology, material properties, and principles of orthotics and the rehabilitation principles to derive treatments in these body regions. The focus will be on spinal orthoses which are designed to fix, correct, and support the vertebral column. The focus will also be on orthoses that are made for cases of neurological, muscular, andjoints conditions of the upper limbs
