The present course will provide the student with basic comprehensive study of the immune system and immune responses to different pathogens. Immune system organization, organ’s structure and function, cells and molecules will be studied. Collaboration of immune system components to defeat different pathogens will be briefly discussed. In addition, some immunological techniques will be taught in the practical part of the course, so students will gain some laboratory skills including different immunization methods, serum and plasma preparation and detection of antigen-antibody interactions using different immunological assays.
