The course covers the fundamentals of a Fourier series as an expansion of a periodic function f(x) in terms of an infinite sum of sines and cosines. Also, this course concerns the use of the Laplace transform for solving the differential equations and basic methods for solving partial differential equations. Finally, several special function principles are introduced in this course.
