This course introduces advanced topics in material science such as material properties and materials science for energy conversion. Specifically, it will cover topics related to atomic structure, interatomic bonding, basic crystallography, diffraction experiments, and crystal defects. Also, it will provide principles of alloying and composition of materials as well as phase diagrams and processing will be covered.
