This course is designed for undergraduates in Biology which covers an introduction to the field of virology and examines important aspects and fundamentals of virology including, virus structure, virus replication cycles, virus classification, architecture and nomenclature, and laboratory diagnosis of virus. At the end of the course students will use the basic knowledge to understand the methods used to prevent viral infection and its spread.
