وصف المقرر
The course will be executed over 4 weeks that will include specialty core topics revisions equally divided over the weeks. Students will cover few new topics and are requested in each week to revise certain specialty content through several learning activities.
The full course clinical situation-topic list (in the Appendix) is divided over the weeks through different learning and teaching activities. In general, students learning is managed through three types of activities: first, college-based teaching; second, field-based activities, and third, evidence of acquisition of skills should be collected by the student. Details of each is given below.
1) In College (These will be delivered through a 2 days of College based activities every week, during which several structured sessions with predetermined content are provided.):
a) Theory teaching
i) One CBCL session (linked to online cases): 2 hours per week; (small group teaching) For each of week, a weekly CBCL theme that encompass several clinical cases and problems will be opened to all students as online learning content that is defined by a CBCL ILOs. Students are expected to go through the online content on their own and approach staff responsible for the week if they encountered any difficulty.
ii) Students-led Guided Objective Tutorial: 2-4 hours (in two sessions) per week; (small group teaching): these will include:
(1) New topics tutorial
(2) Revision tutorial
iii) Lectures (new topic and applied basic topics): 1-2 hours per week, (large group teaching)
iv) Secondary component (PCC) revision (large group interactive lecture): one hour per week, (large group interactive teaching)
b) Skills teaching
Clinical Debrief: 2 hours per week, (small group teaching)
ii) Skill Lab (or Prescribing): 2 hours per week, (small group teaching)

2) In Hospitals
a) Skills teaching
i) Clinical Skills (Bedside) Teaching: 2-4 hours per week; (small group teaching)
ii) Case Management Discussion sessions: 2-4 hours per week; either based on cases extracted from the hospital work of the students or using a predesigned case scenario (small group teaching)
b) Attachment to clinical duties:
Attendance in three different clinical working environment per week (each is 3-4 hours); e,g OPD, ward duties, OR, ER, attendance of business meetings (e.g. morning meetings)

3) Evidence of clinical skills acquisition (the Logbook)
Predetermined minimum requirement should be collected in every placement in a student logbook using certain forms. These requirements are distributed between the different skills that student should practice and provide evidence of going through them.
Students are responsible of practicing and perfecting skills given in the skill list of the course
