The course is designed to focus on acute and chronic psychosocial disturbances and
psychiatric illnesses of clients. It will also enable the students to develop the skills
needed to care for mentally ill clients in varied settings.

By the end of this course the nursing students will be able to:

needs of individuals, families, groups, or communities safely, legally, and
ethically.
