This course provides an extension of basic nursing skills to include increasingly complex diseases.
Students will explore and master advanced skills integral to nursing practice. Clinical experiences
are provided in healthcare settings where the student implements the nursing process for patients
and their families

7. Course Main Objective(s):
1. Demonstrate proficiency in identifying common diseases associated with neurological,
urinary, immunological, musculoskeletal, and cancer disorders
2. Analyze and compare management approaches for patients with acute and chronic
illnesses.
3. Apply the nursing process as a framework for the care of patients with neurological,
urinary, immunology, musculoskeletal, and cancer disorders.
4. Evaluate the clinical significance of various diagnostic tests and procedures, and
articulate nursing implications to support patient-centered care plans.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in performing advanced nursing procedures and interventions
crucial for high-quality patient care.
6. Effectively collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to
optimize patient outcomes and promote holistic care.
