The course starts with description of the modern generation of artificial intelligence techniques and technologies, focusing on search, reasoning, machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, belief networks and computer vision. After an introduction of fundamental concepts and techniques, the course explains the potential and limitations of the current techniques. Students will investigate the strengths and weaknesses of human decision-making and learning in combination with AI systems and on ethical and legal implications of new AI capabilities.
