The Introduction to Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology course is intended to provide an overview of communication disorders, an initial understanding of the clinical application of the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology, an understanding of fundamental concepts and terms associated with the practice of speech-language pathology and audiology, familiarity with a variety of communication disorders in addition to basic assessment and treatment strategies.
