In this course students will identify the key elements of operations control and Supply Chain Management and distinguish the key concepts that define effective Supply Chain Management in the 21st Century.
In this course, students will examine the operations function, and demonstrate effective planning to manage the flow of materials, labor and services through the operations process. Learners will have determined the importance to the firm of decisions made in the operations function and its associated supply chain.
Learners will define effective Supply Chain strategies and demonstrate how to integrate these strategies to organizational objectives. Learners will also identify and utilize continuous improvement strategies to improve existing Supply Chains.
The need for strategy to guide all decision making is emphasized.
