This course provides an overview of cognitive-communication disorders (CCD) in both the pediatric and adult populations. It also provides knowledge on cognitive processes and deficits, including perception, attention, memory, executive functions, Traumatic brain injury, and dementia, and the impact that deficits in these cognitive domains may have on language and communication. It addresses causes and symptoms of CCD, service delivery issues across settings, and evidence-based recommendations for assessment and intervention.
